Are you interested in visiting friends and family in Canada? You may need to apply for a TRV before coming to Canada depending on your country of citizenship. A TRV is also referred to as a visitor visa. If you are a citizen from one of these non-visa-exempt countries, a TRV will be placed in your passport to show that you have met the requirements for admission to Canada as a temporary resident (either visitor, worker or student). A TRV alone does not allow you to work or study in Canada. You must show proof and satisfy the Canadian visa office that you will reside in Canada temporarily.
