Shelly Cohen-Tabak

Shelly is a licensed Immigration Consultant with the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC) as well as a member of the Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants (CAPIC). Born and raised by immigrant parents in Toronto, Shelly witnessed first hand what it was like striving for a better future in a new country. At the age of 15, her parents made a life-changing decision to immigrate back to their home country, however by the age of 22, Shelly made her journey back to Canada independently. New beginnings were not a foreign scenario to her. Shelly truly understands what it is like to self-sufficiently re-establish oneself whereby working in various jobs while obtaining higher education.

In 2009, Shelly graduated with a B.A Honours degree in Psychology and later went on to obtain a Certificate of Professional Accounting (CPA) from York University. She then went on to study Canadian immigration and was awarded an Immigration Consultant diploma from Ashton College.

While attempting different pathways in her educational and professional career, immigration became her new goal. Little did she know, that her own spousal sponsorship application would one day be something she would be so very familiar with.
